My sister bought the green and purple for me and my nephew. My mom saw it and was so grossed out. I vaguely remember there being a yellow as well, but I'm not sure if that was Heinz brand. I think I wanted to get it to switch with mustard for the greatest prank of all time.

Yeah, it was on the tail end of the glory days of Way Too Much Dye.
I didn't buy into the ketchup, but I remember it was 'justified' as "getting kids more likely to to eat green vegetables," despite 1. Ketchup shouldn't be classified a vegetable 2. Ketchup is usually red, so you're not making vegetables more appealing, just making ketchup less so 3. Purple is only the color of a small number of vegetables 4. Ketchup doesn't usually even go on vegetables. Were you old enough to be excited by the rainbow popcorn and vanishing sunscreen?
