I didn't buy into the ketchup, but I remember it was 'justified' as "getting kids more likely to to eat green vegetables," despite 1. Ketchup shouldn't be classified a vegetable 2. Ketchup is usually red, so you're not making vegetables more appealing, just making ketchup less so 3. Purple is only the color of a small number of vegetables 4. Ketchup doesn't usually even go on vegetables. Were you old enough to be excited by the rainbow popcorn and vanishing sunscreen?
