It really depends. Some consoles have great launch lineups, some don't. I think that's the most important thing, the games available at launch.

Yeah, I agree. There's not really much to play right now so what's the point.
I have a PS4 Pro and I just beat and played Spiderman Miles a couple of weeks ago. It's not a complicated thing to understand. Just like it isn't complicated to understand why people will wait for a bigger library, a new model, or with the last gen setting the line for potential more powerful mid gen upgrades. I got my ps4 in 2014 and it still works with no issue. The lack of games at the beginning sucked though.
