What was the worst thing that has happened in 2020?

For me, COVID was the worst thing. It has affected everyone in the world. Just hearing the numbers and statistics greatly sadden me. Then comes death of a celebrity (Alex Trebek), a favourite business closing (Playdium Mississauga), then police brutality, then climate change.

2020 sucked. So glad it's almost over.

And also, please don't forget to specify for "Other." Even for those who have Trump's loss as other. >_>

coronavirus has had the biggest effect on this year obviously. But climate change will be much bigger in the long run. The police brutality and the response to it was also huge.

No celebrity death could compare with those, including Kobe's or Chadwick Boseman's.
Nor could the Beirut explosion, which didn't really carry the same lasting ramifications.
The hornets aren't nearly as disruptive or destructive as climate change or the wildfires.
Businesses shutting down are bad but it's really just another effect the coronavirus has had.

Probably the dumbest question ever but hasn't Covid19 helped a bit with climate change?

Like we put less crap in the air due to it.

I really want to vote other due to republicans blatantly acting like traitors and playing along with Trumps failed coup, but ultimately he finally conceded over the weekend and this pandemic is becoming the worst weve seen in generations. Whats even worse than the sickness itself is it really brought to light how many things in this country are fucking broken and how selfish and ignorant the average American really is. Plus morons are still hung up on the low mortality rate as if death is the only lingering consequence of the disease.

I forgot to include "World War 3 almost happening." Also, for the celebrity passing option, I forgot to put non-Kobe related because I mentioned the plane crash already.

One day i had to go out and start my car, but forgot to bring my driving crocs in from my trunk. I was too lazy to put my boots on, so i had to walk about 20 feet to my car in just socks to get the crocs. It was cold enough to see my breath in the air too. It was fucking miserable.

Tough choice, especially between the top 4. Honestly the businesses closing hit very close to home, living in a small community and our small town that only really had like 25 businesses, and now it's more like 15. A lot of family owned places had to close and it devastated some good people. A man here who's family business had been open since 1955 had to close his doors, and then he passed like 3 weeks later. He was in his early 80s, worked there every day of his life unless he was ill. I think it just broke him entirely. It was a really cool old time general shop, with a lot of antiques, decorated like it was still existing in the 1960s. He would polish your boots, sharpen knives, offered a lot of cool services like that. You don't see places like that anymore. It legit hurt my feelings a lot, and it was a result of this fucking virus.
