The purpose of this is so that people can work anytime they want and for however long they'd like. If you want employer benefits such as retirement plans and health insurance, then you need to apply for a non contractual job... even working at McDonald's will get you some benefits as a part time employee. You'd be better off just working 60 hours as a delivery driver for UPS while making more and having full health insurance benefits and a retirement plan. Rideshare is good for making a couple hundred bucks every week imo.... but whatever works for you and that's what voting for prop 22 does.
