The crime and whatnot would be mitigated by that route. Now, when Darkseid invades is when Batman becomes the right call. I'm about 6 months from graduating with a Bachelor's in Social Work and I can tell you definitively that there is nothing in the curriculum to teach us to fight Parademons. Batman blindly ignores the entire graveyards Joker has filled just so he doesnt break his moral code. Would be interesting if someone in real life had moderate success fighting crime in a costume.
