I've no idea how to unlock the 4th Shield and Rail aspects. Haven't played in a while, been busy with Aegis Rim and Genshin impact.

i finally unlocked the rail aspect and i'm 100% sure you need zeus to have mentioned the adamant rail before he can give you the aspect. the way the game handles dialogue doesn't prioritize unlocks so you might need to talk to him a few times with the rail before he finally says sometimes about it, and then he should give you the phrase to unlock the aspect in one of your following runs (provided you run into him). you don't need to have the rail equipped for the unlock phrase, just for the initial dialogue that has him acknowledge it.

the same should apply for the shield. i think you get the aspect from chaos.

Got gifted this game recently. Can't believe how fast I blazed past the time I spent playing Bastion. The game is that fuckin' good.

For the shield, after you've dumped at least 5 Titan bloods into shield aspects, Chaos will give you the phrase to unlock the final one.

I have 15 wins with the bow, zero with the other weapons. The others feel like they have too oow DPS to me.

If you manage to get a sweet build you'll do massive damage. I like running Persephone's keepsake from start to finish to really level up the boons, then just tunnel on 1-2 gods. Most of the time you'll end up with pretty decent damage.

IMO it's more worth to spend some gold healing up after Chaos rooms honestly. I either pick specific god keepsakes early on to get a preferred start, or I just do what I mentioned above to really crank up the damage. That's especially useful if I keep few boons for a long time.

IMO unless you really want to boost a useful low-level boon, go always with the new boon. Either it's a new God (giving you a small attack boost with a certain mirror upgrade) or a God from which you already have a boon, which will synergize and make it more powerful.

The Cosmig Egg also increases the Chaos Gates spawn frequency. I get around 3 per run, so one for attack, one for special and then either +1 cast or money up.

Oh it does? I wasn't sure. Either way, I don't think the Chaos boons are that good on their own. It's more important, IMO, that you get a solid boon build generally.

With the Poms its good to get stuff to lvl 2 or 3 at least. 1-> 2 is the biggest power increase, then 2 to 3, then after that its less significant

I think I'll at least play until the tenth victory, although I really want to see the fourth Aspects and follow up on storylines.

Having15 titan's blood invested elsewhere within the weapon (dunno if unlocks count) and then just play, I think. There might be an order to the 4th aspect unlocks, idk.

Also -- made it to heat 10 and HOLY GOD. 4th Extreme Measures is haaaard. Hades has utterly made me his bitch three times in a row. He gets 3 health bars. In phase 1 he'll summon minibosses (giant butterfly ball, stabby ghost, floating skull pile, etc) who phase in and out and teleport. Sometimes it's not even worth it just to kill them, and just burn him into phase 2 so they'll die automatically.

In phase 2 he'll summon single green grabby jars and also gain the ability to throw his spear and then dash to pick it up like Achilles' aspect. He'll also gain the ability to self heal for gobs of health from remnant green grabby jars.

In phase 3 it's darkness EVERYWHERE and there's a haze so you can only see well within radius of you. Pretty much phase 2 only without perfect vision.

I had duo boon for drastically gaining god gauge but capped at 1 charge, with a high level Athena Call, with the duo boon for life regen on last life -- basically my "lmao immortal" build, and I still died going in with 3 lives and max HP. But heat 9? 3 extreme measures with damage control or middle management or something? Whatever. Give me a 10-streak. Bossman? Not happening -_-

No, I 'quit' the game because I'm terrible at it. I think it's fucking awesome and I continue to play it, but it still pisses me off

Also, that was before I knew about the God Mode, which make it a bit easier to learn the patterns of everyone

i skimmed through it. your build was pretty trash. you barely had any damage and also didn't have a call to rely on as a crutch. sometimes runs get like that. one thing you can immediately do that will help a lot is to put your darkness into that talent that increases hp. might be called thick skin? you can get an extra 50 hp to start with once you max it out.

Duck behind the pillars, otherwise stutter step and mind your spacing. Don't dash through him while he's starting up unless it's specifically to get behind a pillar, because in his circle of lasers, a specific one is locked on to you and the lasers will rotate until that singular laser is back on you.

I usually try to keep him right next to a pillar so most of the beams are blocked as soon as they start, instead of going across the screen and then getting blocked

once I Iearned how to avoid the beams phase 2 actually became easier than phase 1

Spear throw builds are great. Get Poseidon for the knockback shenanigans with the bouncing spear throw upgrade and just go nuts.

I'm at a long 18 win streak despite upping the task lvl every time and switching around weapons based on the darkness buff. I'm hoping I don't choke b4 the 20th, so the pressure is really building for me.

My best weapon is still the rail, rarely ever fail with it and got to task lvl 10 with it so far with the winning run not being my best build and still had 2 deaths to spare. So I'm thinking maybe I just let the rail carry me for 2 more games >.>.

One big tip on the dps is to get multiple status effects. If you have the mirror's 40% dmg buff against enemies inflicted with multiple status, you should be absolutely diversifying your status effects per attack and special and cast. Zeus you need to get about 2-3 times minimum for him to be truly effective cuz you need that jolted status, same goes for Athena's though her boons are usually good as-is due to the protection, same for Artemis, while Dionysus you would need the hangover status inflicted on the festive fog depending on what you rolled. So keep in mind they're less consistent if you plan to go multiple status.

Also some of them have fixed vs % damage bonus. If you think about it like that, then some weapons benefit from one more than the other. I'd say like rail, you want to get fixed dmg on your attack because you pepper them with a bunch of tiny damage, while you want to get % dmg on your special because they're burst damage. Also you don't really get as much benefit off of say buffing your special with Chaos boons compared to buffing your attack if you have a fixed dmg for special and % dmg for attack. But for some weapons, you'd still want to buff just special, for example, no matter what boon you get on it.

Another tip is always go for hammer. As soon as you see hammer, just drop everything and pick that door. It's case by case but my personal priority is:

hammer>hermes>chaos (depending on your health and less prio as you almost finish elysium)>boon>nectar (depending on your upgrades)>health>coin>key>dark>pom>gem

Special rooms can be determined case by case as well but I usually take them over boons, unless it's a double boon room. Shop is also case-by-case but if you have like over 600 coins, you should usually go for shop, unless you have some buff that gives you more things depending on how much coin you have.

That's amazing dude. I still haven't beaten it. I'm just picking the boons I need for the prophecies so not maximizing my build properly.

I haven't played too much yet, but the first time I got past Megaera was with the bouncing spear build. Got all the way to the end of Elysium, but died on that boss. This was only my, maybe, 5th run? Yondu Spear build is amazing, is what I'm trying to say.

I just did a run with the spear and had 0 chaos portals and 0 of the chest encounters. My fucking luck lol died on the last boss. Also has lucky tooth equipped the entire run which was dumb af for me.

Honestly no, imo. It requires quick reactions and youre basically walking on a tightrope the entire time. I tried playing it drunk at first and got very frustrated. Its fun sober, though, and I cant remember the last time I said that about a game.

If you get Hermes early, you have a chance for Side Hustle, which adds up very quickly. Further, more dashes is always good, and attack/special speed can sometimes make or break a build. There's a reason none of the trinkets can force a Hermes boon.

Oh yeah Hermes is by far the best god. The coin thing is extremely good to get early on, in fact THE best boon the get on the first realm imo, and the dash +1~3 is the 2nd best boon to get overall. Those 2 alone I think usually snowballs into guaranteeing runs, dash a little bit less so if you're really squishy and are banking on dodging things via the i-frame on the dash.

Having a ton of coins pretty much make shop one of the most efficient rooms you can get, and it lets you freely spend on the purple cauldrons.

Also on certain weapons, the attack/special speed up or the cast related ones like the ones in the screenshot on the post b4 this are also some of the best boons in the game. Hermes has a few meh ones but all the boons mentioned pretty much make it a no brainer to go for him every time there isn't a hammer

I killed Alecto by using the summon from Sysiphus. It was very satisfying.
