Most of them are not from big cities.

Most of them move to these big cities for jobs

Most of these jobs are underpaid

All of the housing in these towns are too expensive

These people literally do nothing but complain about this even though they put themselves in this situation.

Well, you wouldn't be in a city of fewer than 20k people because that's usually too small to be a city. (Bearing in mind that the city designation is based more government organization than population; although cities are almost exclusively high population, there are towns of 50k or 100k people. Greenwich, CT, for example, is a town rather a city despite having 62k people. Meanwhile Bristol and Meriden CT are both cities despite having very slightly smaller populations. EDIT: And looking into it further, CT apparently has four cities with under 20k people, although two are just subdivisions of towns... because having a tiny city apparently wasn't weird enough)
