The fires caused by the lightning storm on Sunday. Got an evacuation order text last night, but I wasn't sure. The directions were kinda vague. Like "south of this road" is ordered to evacuate. I wasn't sure how south it meant. They publicized a map today and apparently it meant very south.

Im sorry to hear that. Weve had to evacuate twice in the past two years due to the fires, so were fully prepared to do it again. Fortunately the fires have never reached our house.

East Bay area. Yesterday was nuts. The sky was complete smoke. It was like perpetual twilight throughout the entire day. Like that sepia tone shows/movies use when the main character is in Mexico. Sky is looking better today, but apparently, the fire's only 5% contained.

A couple years ago, we had a fire go right through our property, started by an idiot neighbor. Mom was out of town and my dad and I were told to evacuate. We didnt and fought to protect the house. (My dad was too stubborn to leave and I didnt want to leave him and our animals.)
