Playstation easy.

All the best games have been remade on other consoles.

I actually made this topic to help me decide what game console to bring with me when moving: the Wii or my PS3.

PS3, even easier. It offers more features at this point. Digital game storage, still online capable, larger library, etc. Wii has some good games on disc, but it only has those now. Can't watch Netflix on it or download from the Wii store (other than redownloading owned titles if you didn't transfer licenses to WiiU).

Sorry that it took me like forty posts to comment on this; I'm excluding those from the poll. I actually made this topic to help me decide what game console to bring with me when moving: the Wii or my PS3.

is there no way you can bring both? unless it's a dorm situation or something i can't imagine two consoles taking up so much more space than one that it matters

Choice is easy then. N64. All of the good N64 games can be played on other systems. The same cannot be said of the PS1.

As for Wii vs PS3, I do think the PS3 is the winner there, though I like a lot of Wii games. If you really like party games, you may want the Wii instead.

Everything i want to play on both systems is playable on something newer so it wouldnt make much difference to me with ports/remasters and such allowed.

If those were barred though then N64 is the easy pick for me to give up.

Wii is a bit of an annoying console if you're moving/traveling with the all the controllers/attachments, sensor bar, etc. I'd definitely go with PS3 in that case

I don't play games from either system at this point.

I don't own a 64 though at all anymore, so that choice was made for me...

N64 because I have one but it's invisible.

But it's a fact that the N64 has no good games.

You need to learn what a fact actually is. This is your opinion because obviously the N64 has some highly successful titles. Still I wouldn't take any sort of gaming advice from a guy like yourself who by his own admission has fallen out of love with gaming. Although by the looks of things perhaps you've always been this miserable.

N64

For the record, I never owned the console, but I Just recently started playing OoT (my saves states aren't working for me atm) and while it's a cool title, I don't think its enough to replace the PS1 library games IMO.

If you're a big N 1st party IP fan, then I think that would be the only reason you would pick N64 over the PSX

PS1.

I was a Nintendo kid. My siblings had the NES, SNES, and N64. My parents got me a Wii when I was 11 or 12, and a DS a few years before that. then I stopped playing video games for about ten years, and this year I bought myself a Switch.

my brother started buying PlayStations, and had a PS2 when that first came out, but he had his own place and I didnt play it much so I dont have a lot of nostalgia for it.

I really miss that game sometimes.

That dungeon crawler in it was a ton of fun to me. Haven't found a game that scratches the itch quite like it since.

PS1 is the second greatest console ever made (SNES being first). N64 is not even in the top 10.

N64, no contest for me.

Breath of fire 3, Brigandine, Azure dreams, Wild arms, ff7-9, suikoden, medievil, all some of my favorites that I would miss on ps1.

Loved Azure Dreams back in the day.

Also enjoying the Ehrgiez love going in this thread.

N64 is pretty irrelevant these days. Smash and goldeneye/perfect dark, where both pretty great back in the day, but later Smashs improved over the original in everyway, and the original Halo has displaced ge/pd as kind of arcadey multiplayer shooters.

I grew up with the N64 and not a PS1.
I still feel like a Nintendo kid even after all these years(I'm 29 now) so I won't ever give up a Nintendo system ever.
Not even the Wii U.

Just something I thought of now, a collection of the first three Smash Bros games for the Switch.
Remastered for a modern system with Gamecube controller support.

I know you could play all three with Gamecube controllers on the Wii but the Wii is not an HD system and Wii U can't play GC games and you can't use GC controllers on it either (the GC Adapter was only compatible with Smash 4).

And classic controller sucks to play Smash with IMO. My brain is just too accustomed to the GC controller and I can't unlearn it lol
