I enjoyed Dante being in Nocturne in 2003ish (when I played the game) but we really don't need DMC2 Dante in 2020 in Nocturne. Honestly, because of the memes, and the fact that Dante is more recognizable it kind of makes SMT III look a little bad now because it looks like it needs a popular character on the cover for it to be cool. Dante on the cover of SMT III got me to buy the game when I had no idea what SMT was but the world is different now. It doesn't need that kind of marketing now. SMT III Nocturne is such a good game that it can stand up with its own characters. As happy as I was to have Dante in the game in 2003 when I was a kid, SMT III doesn't need Dante anymore. (Raidou and Dante have radically-different attack animations despite said attacks having the same effects; for one, Raidou summons demons to do some of his attacks.)
