Sorry, character limit forced me to word that awkwardly.

On the cover of books that you write, would you rather your name be in larger text than the title, or the reverse?

For example, Bran San's name is much larger than the title on the cover of The Way of Kings.

But the title is slightly larger than Rothfuss's name on this cover for The Name of the Wind.

which would you prefer?

I think maybe it has less to do with the author's ego, and more to do with marketability. If the author is a household name, like Stephen King, he can probably sell more copies if his name is larger on the cover, because a lot of people see "Stephen King" on a novel and think "Oh yeah, I really like that author, so I should probably buy this book."

The title should be the most prominent part.

I think notable authors make their name big because it's like a brand name. So much utter garbage is published nowadays

Whatever's likely to sell more copies, to be honest.

Yeah, I suppose obvious answer is obvious. I thought it would spark a better conversation as I was typing, but soon realized it would come to the basic answer which is obvious.

Y'know, I was once an aspiring rapper, and I always thought that particular segment of the music industry was very egotistical, seeing how every cover of every rap album features a front-and-centered photo of the rapper.
