That's probably what did it for me. I didn't like vegetables much growing up because my mom mostly just heated up a can of green beans or peas.

Yet, compulsive Switch cart lickers exist.

I liked veggies even as a kid & I never knew anyone who flat out hated them. Used to think it was just a made up trope for cartoons.

Texture influences my tastes too much.

Not a fan of the texture of most cooked vegetables, while raw veggies don't digest well in my lame ass stomach.

Been training myself to like cooked greens and it's not going well.

Peas and mashed potatoes are an amazing combination that can't quite be replicated by anything else

I'm not a huge fan of carrots. But they have their place as a sweet aromatic base for dishes

That's what it is with me. It's not so much the taste but the texture of many fruits and vegetables that bother me. Sucks tbh.

I usually have to surround them with a more desirable texture of food like rice or mashed potatoes. The ratio is like 10-1 rice/taters to veggies though.
