No more yellow storyline missions. I listened to all the required tapes. Eli escaped with the kids and bot . Do I have to redo that lame code talker mission? It's the only one with a white dot not yellow.

It's digital bro.

I see there's a mission 43 which isn't a repeat. I haven't done mission 39 40 or 42. But they don't show up as required.

Do them all. The second 'half' of mgsv is mostly repeated missions and little epilogue tidbits here and there.

Game was a numbered installment and they legit used a portable game format to hide the terrible core story they wrote. So disappointing.

I honestly think MGSV is the most disappointing game I've ever played.

Did you get Quiet back? I think you need to do that to unlock the final mission.

I've played plenty. Keep in mind I didn't say that it's the worst game, just the most disappointing. I had high expectations for MGSV, especially after Ground Zeroes.

Phantom Pain was a shell of what it should have been. With such an incredible gameplay engine to play with, it's really disappointing how few interior environments we got. And how every location was just some minor variation on rocky/sandy/grassy plains/hills. No snow region, no proper jungle region, no urban areas...it was lacking a lot of polish and had very little meat. It's a lot of flash and great controls with subpar utilization.

No, he's right. It's not even about it being a "bad" game. It's got great open world MGS gameplay. But a lot of MGS fans (myself included) care more about the comic book like cinematic story than the gameplay and this game was a joke story wise. You can harp all you want about how all the MGS games have "garbage" story telling, but that just tells me you aren't a fan of the series and hence not really a qualified opinion on the subject.

MGS fans hopes were high for MGS5 due to the trailers and potential of seeing Big Boss "falling" and the story offered none of that. Aside from that, the story it DID try to tell kept getting derailed by mission requirements that burned you out on the gameplay that you previously appreciated.

When you have high hopes for something and they plummet so much, that makes it way more disappointing than playing some randomly bad game you had no expectations for.

Ground Zeroes was our first clue. I mean, it was the Tanker Mission and they marketed it as a separate game. The corporate greed the game was dripping with was so obvious that it's no surprise Kojima has been trying to get himself fired and kill the series since before MGS4. (another joke of an installment. But at least it has shining moments.)

At least he succeeded with this one.
