I live in Chicago, Illinois. Once the schools open it will take about 3 weeks for the spike. There are loads of analyses now of kids and covid. I posted the links on the coronavirus topic but you can just google.

I figure one week for the kids to all catch it. Two weeks for the kids to all spread it. Medical care will not be available anywhere.

Summary of analysis. Kids are less likely to catch coronavirus and way less likely to suffer from it. Their viral load is slightly less (guessing smaller throat = a little less virus) but not significantly less. Even with windows open, fans running and masks on ... And we all know that the masks are not going to stay on.

That is enough time for hospitals to sort out the spike. There is no way anyone in the city can avoid catching it once the schools open. Maybe if you live in a single family building without kids and fence in your yard you can avoid catching it.

I have thought about making jokes about timing covid exposure with dips in cases and talking about the covid meta, but they seemed to be in very poor taste. Either way, just try not to get sick.

It just occurred to me to check and yes we do sell masks for kids on AMAZON but I am not sure the quantities are up for school opening.


And please do not anyone say sanitize and reuse.

there is no conclusive evidence that coming down with and getting over the coronavirus makes you immune from reinfection, for any amount of time, especially since there are multiple strains.

My thought is that I will not be sick during the covid inferno, Too true that sometimes you can catch it again immediately.
