Honestly yes at some point. I do everything I can to avoid getting it - don't go out unless necessary, wear masks everywhere, don't touch anything after I shop until I sanitize my hands and if I do touch something in the car then I sanitize that too.

But there are just so many potential carriers out there... it freaks me out.

Yes, because I dont know how my body will react to it.
But the people that I know that have gotten got very mild symptoms and were over it within a week.

$737 a week in unemployment since april and my rent's $350 a month (because I live with my mom). I've banked ten grand since i left work. I'm hoping they renew it so I don't have to start eating through what I've saved up, but I'd rather do that then risk catching it.

I may have already had it but been asymptomatic, since both of my parents had it and I had to take my mom out to get the test.

However, I am concerned over getting the serious strain, since I'm admittedly not in the best health myself.

Yeah. I hvae to go to work as a retail person and I've been trying so hard to keep from getting it...but I fear I'm gonna get it eventually. Especially with some idiots not wearing masks.

Things are doing quite well where I live in NY, but yeah I'm still nervous about it. Not necessarily for me, though that has raised with some of the possibilities of long last effects, but for my mom and brother who are both high risk. If either got it, there is a real possibility they could die from it. Which is why I am always annoyed when I see people downplay the virus by saying the people dying are high risk, my brother should live to an old age, but he could die from this at 29.

Yes. My parents are old and with autoimmune problems. I'd hate to be responsible for their deaths.

Same with my fiancees parents. Old, with diabetes.

Theres always a chance you can die from it and if not, you could get permanent damages to your lungs or other organs.

Its all down to chance and luck. And im not a gambler.

Imagine if these last few months have been my last, but I didn't realize it, and on my deathbed, I wish I enjoyed the time more instead of being depressed. Pretty depressing to think about.

I can be absent minded when I go out now, I am too worried to do things calmly, I guess I could make a check list before heading out.

Yeah, I am, especially the way things are going. I'm more afraid of giving it to others unknowingly. If I'm carrying the virus, I may not know it. I've already had a coworker survive the infection and suffer permanent lung damage. (No, death rate is not the only thing that matters.)

I make it a point to mask up, have a shopping plan, and go out every other week during slow hours. It may not prevent me from getting sick, but with a two-week delay, I can at least be reasonably confident I won't get others sick.

Not particularly, though yesterday we did just set a daily record for my city (population ~32,000) with 8 new cases. Had 7 new cases the past week after a ~12 week stretch with a total of like 17.

Someone my mom works with who hadn't been taking things seriously just tested positive...
That would likely be how I get it, idiots at work who think it's no big deal or still come in coughing all over the place, meanwhile cases continue to rise
