Took me 4 attempts but finally got a perfect game in Shy Guys Finish Last for the trophy. That's like a whole 30 minute thing and if you screw up once you need to start over from the beginning

now to finish off the Green Streamer area.

basically in the Green Streamer area you're given a VIP card at some point and have to take it to another guy to get into a new area. Once you give it to him, finish that new area without leavingor he'll think that you never gave it to him and doesn't let you back in and you can't get another VIP card.

I'm currently on the last boss of the blue streamer... wiped a few times because first I didn't have enough HP going into the bosses attack when he's down to one rubber band (when I assumed he'd be dead), and then again because I couldn't grab the last rubber band while it was dodging away before it killed me.

it's especially dangerous because leaving the cave autosaves the game so you basically screw yourself

if I had to rank the streamer areas now as I finish up the Green area

Blue
Green
Purple
Red
Yellow

Blue and Green are both excellent some of my favorite areas in a Paper Mario (and also feature the best party members)

Purple was basically Wind Waker so that was really fun

Red is a nice intro but nothing fancy

Yellow area just kinda drags a bit too long and I didn't find the party member in that area to be all that great. Definitely some cool moments though.

The boat controls are amazingly awkward and I have a hard enough time just surviving!

maybe I've just controlled just enough awkward controlling boats in my lifetime. I just made sure to start doing my turn way ahead of time of when I actually wanted to be there and it turned out fine.

Yeah I dunno, I've always through minigames where the 'challenge' lies in struggling to control something awkward are bad. I don't really understand the through processes that goes through designing those.

Currently working toward my last collectible treasure in Toad Town (gotta win every fight in the Boss VR simulator) which will also get me my last Trophy in the museum.

after that I'll have 100% in every area I thought I read that there's an additional ending scene if you have 100% so I guess I'll find out about that too

Yeah as long as you're not hung up on the fact that the battle system is not like the first 2 games it's actually very good.

Although overall enjoyment will ultimately be tied you how much you enjoy doing the puzzles in the battle system because like I said once you get it down the battles go very quick and they're barely even a thing in my opinion.

And even then the game gives you several options to avoid most battles if you really want to

4th vellumental speculation: I finally caught on that these are based on Genbu, Seiryu, and Suzaku, so I guess the last one should be a wind tiger based on Byakko!
