Extreme Heat here is classified as >115 Degrees F. I never hear of any Extreme Cold Warning but looking it up, a general range would be around -35 Degrees F. But what really matter with the cold is the wind chill and wind speed, so if that's low then it's more tolerable.
In that case, I'd take the extreme cold. It's easier to bundle up than it is to strip down. Like wrapping in a warm blanket as oppose to... walking around nude lol. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't think I've ever experienced anything over a 110F, which I didn't mind. I've experienced -40F, tho. Horribly depressing and miserable. --- ...and that's the meaning of life. ... Are you obese? A undergarment layer, regular clothes layer, and coat/hat/scarf do make a difference. Especially if you're dressing smart. But you're welcome to go outside wearing just your regular clothes ig. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

This topic always drives me insane.
The logic of Well you can always put on more layers! just seems so impossibly dumb. As if I never thought to put on multiple coats or layers. Heat is just heat. Coldness leads to literal pain when your hands, ears, and feet freeze. You cant move. Shoveling is a bitch. And ice is a hazard. --- A show of kindness may not do much help, but a show of cruelty may do much harm. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Can you read? Yes. That's why I added smart. I worn gloves that got cold right away and gloves that stay warm for a bit longer or had a way to get warm without removing them. The product and materials still matter. Either is still better than leaving them straight up exposed. Bestoffuture posted... Ah. Yeah it really depends on the person and stuff like wind chill or humidity levels as well. I'd personally pick -40F because honestly I've been fairly used to such low temperatures. --- ...
