Not yet. My mom took one. I didnt realize the test was so invasive/painful. I thought it was just a swab to the nostril. Ill have to ask her how it was next time I talk to her.

I only know about how awkward it is because I saw a Wired article early on where the guy got an at-home testing kit and he showed the long ass testing probe that goes up the nose.

What a terrible friggin' device. Would almost rather prefer a blood draw.

They shoved the swab up there and brushed it around for about 10 seconds then yanked it out.

For me it was just the one nostril but I've read some places do both.

i did one in the hospital when they had me in the covid quarantine area before admitting me to a room
quick nose swab, results within 2 hours or so

i did one in the parking lot of my office before they would let me in the office
blood prick through finger, result within 15 minutes or less

i did one at a medical center prior to a procedure
deep brain fuck nose swab (easily the worst one), results within 2 days

I just got one the other day. It was mandatory cause I'm a Healthcare worker and someone in the facility tested positive.

It wasn't bad at all. Sounds horrifying, but really doesn't hurt. It's slightly uncomfortable is all. Almost like the feeling of getting water up your nose, but not as bad.

They tested in my left nostril and it lasted a few seconds. They hit my tear duct nerve and caused my left eye to water up lol.

though the swab gets deep in your nose, it doesn't poke your brain

I've done it 12 times now, it's a requirement for my work. It's not going to your brain, just this weird center of your head place.

It doesn't really hurt it's just sort of unpleasant. Makes you eyes water and burn, your sinuses go bonkers and your nose run for a few minutes after.

It's weird for all the stupid vaccines I've had and dealing with the cs gas chamber you'd think I'd be used to this shit by now but still.
