Mother in law: Cant stand that bitch. I hate her with an absolute passion. She finds a way to start shit every day I see her.

Father in law: I like how cool and laid back he is but he can still be a hardass at times.

Not married at the moment, but my girlfriend's parents have their ups and downs.

Her dad is generally a pretty chill dude and likes me a lot but he is really stubborn. Overall cool guy

Her mom means well, and holds a lot of views that are really good and very progressive and not shitty at all, but she's generally just kind of a bitch all the time to her daughter and in general lmao. She also likes me a lot so that's a plus. Overall though she's bearable. Would never want to live with her though

Father in law is one of the nicest dudes I've ever met, although he's a little hapless.

both are fine, no real complaints.

FIL tends talks about himself and his life a lot whenever me or my wife talk to him, which gets annoying after a few minutes.

My in laws hate my guts. I have no idea why as I never did anything to them. Guess the old "you're not good enough" bs.

they're pretty country, pretty ignorant and super judgmental
it's kinda hilarious because they're stereotypes of what CE would hate
watch a lot of fox news, largely uninformed about shit, very opinionated, very conservative
my wife and i just look at them and roll our eyes for the most part cause it's kinda funny ultimately

Mother in law: insane with OCD and a real pain in the ass. Can flip on a dime and become a real nasty woman. Have had to remove her from my apartment once before.

Father in law: an idiot who will be dying in the next few years. Guy doesn't take care of himself, has diabetes, and got cirrhosis a few years ago, culminating in many hospital visits (cause he refuses to be healthy) and finally this year a liver transplant. Since then, he's gone back to the hospital two more times because he still refuses to be healthy (asking us to bring him a whopper and fries when we visit because why eat healthy and live?), all the while caring more about anything other than his health. Mostly money and making more of it which is the only thing he cares about in life.

They are also divorced as they both cheated on each other. However, it was fine when the dad was getting hookers in Costa Rica for years (he just considered it a business transaction that didn't mean anything), but once he found out his wife cheated he immediately filed for divorce and made everyone's life hell. This happened this past few months (they are both 60+)

Never thought I would marry someone with a crazier family than mine.

They're fine. MIL can be pretty judgemental but FIL is pretty laid back.

My father in law is a real piece of work. Was banned from family gatherings for telling him to eat a back of dicks after he blamed me for denting his bumper - I hadn't driven the truck in weeks and he refused to admit it might have been him or his son who used the truck daily. We've since worked it out but he is still someone I'm not fond of. Not to mention he berates his kids and wife for the most trivial of things.

Mother in law is cool. Way more laid back and mellow. No issues here.

They're all generally wonderful people. We don't have any shared interests and I hate small talk so we don't really converse a lot, and one of her aunts is a "family is the most important thing in the world" kinda person, but otherwise they're great.

My in-laws are awesome. I like them just as much, if not more than my own parents haha.

My mother-in-law is a really quiet, mellow Midwest lady (which is fun cuz we live in NY). And my father-in-law is like one of the nicest people I know, goofy and fun and has a really good sense of humor.

Best of all, both of them are super apolitical, they never bring up politics or any of that bullshit. And they're super supportive of both me and my wife

Separated, but still in contact with them since they help out with my kids at times. They are cool. Always been cool. I didn't get the lame inlaws luckily.

They help me out more over my ex-wife and she gets upset about it.
