I know "Iol prebuilt you can save hundreds putting that together on your own"

But say I don't give a damn and want the convenience of everything being put together for me and having a warranty I can fall back on.

How good is this thing? I'm not looking to game at 4K, I'd be fine with 1080p/1440p at max settings on modern/near-future games with a minimum 60fps. Can this accomplish that?

Only a 2060 super? Not a good buy with 3000s on the way. Also the CPU is way overpriced for a gaming build. Better to go a cheaper intel and go all in on the GPU

Max settings at 1440p 60fps wouldn't be possible with that gpu for the most demanding games. 1080p would be fine.

Is getting it built at a PC store an option? If you switched that CPU to a 3600 you could save like $300 on the build and put that towards a better GPU.

The next gen console GPU's are better but they're targeting 4k so it should hold up fine as long as that continues to be the case. Probably might need to use DLSS to use Ray Tracing as well.

That is a tiny SSD though which might be a hassle.

Yeah, that's one of the BIGGEST cost cuttings in the whole rig. HDDs are dirt cheap compared to a same size SSD. But depending on the game you're playing, you want SSD load times. At least they give you a 7200RPM drive.

Get one with bigger SSDs.

Also the case has issues. Most of it is asthetic which is a personal choice, but generally having the i/o ports on the top is going to be annoying. Especially if you have a tendency to place things on top of the PC.

Thanks for the input so far. I'm looking around at other options.

Is there a downside to going AMD over Intel/NVIDIA? I've noticed the former are cheaper.

PC you get what you pay for. As to your GPU, go NVIDIA because a bunch of publishers work with them more than they do AMD/Radeon.

@littlebro07

I believe you can contact certain manufacturers to build your custom for you, for a minimal fee, iirc.

NVIDIA is currently on top also

Amd for cpu, nvidia for gpu. Also the computer in the OP is a gigantic ripoff.

i dont think people should be saying "oh will this look as good as consoles"

yes , yes it will. but then its like "well then why am i paying all this money for a PC"

what you should be asking is what advantage does PC gaming have over console. and there are definitely pros and cons to that.

Dedicated servers, mods, no such thing as backward communicability, keyboard and mouse controls, higher frame rates and resolutions, and being able to heavily customize your graphic settings to what you want. like for me, i fucking hate motion blur. i can turn that off. want a huge FOV? go for it.

also you get a computer. make music on it, edit photos and videos, write code, or just browse gamefaqs.

thats what you get with a PC.

Nothing, and it still worked fine, I used that PC for 4+ years with the same HDD >_>
I did end up dropping a screw on the case fan and one of the blades snapped off, but other than that, solid PC.

Added a space so I could post it

How about this one?

There's a nearly identical model for $1199.99 with a 5700XT GPU instead of the 2070S

Looking up prices for all the components put me around the 1k mark for both (they both include mouse and keyboard, I just estimated the price on those and the case) so the markup doesn't seem too horrible on them. Reviews for both look promising too.
