Hot take, times have changed, if you use a trusted third party service like Google that makes it mathematically impossible for you to be hacked you can't be hacked. If you "don't put all your eggs in one basket" and make an account for each and every site you use and buy things on eventually one of them is going to be hacked and your data will be leaked. You yourself are a basket of eggs.
