weren't they supposed to have the tests you get the results in an hour now? or are those just for celebrities and rich people still? <_<

So the wait time was originally 3-5 days, and now due to the influx it takes longer than 7 now.

PCR test relies on an analyzer that's expensive, in short supply, and has to culture small batches of tests for an hour. these machines are in federal labs scattered across the country so there's a limit to the rate they can be done.

there are antibody and antigen rapid tests. but they're unreliable as hell.

I remember some governors screaming to Trump that they need help and can't do this on their own. Is this something that could be fixed with more help or is it just something we will have to deal with with or without that kind of help?

well i imagine that 14billion in covid test funding that trump hasn't handed out could have been used to buy more analyzers at least.

Just like covid corey, a man that quarantined himself for an unbearable 8 days, and had to go out on the 4th to a dense packed beach whilst still feeling ill.

The stuff about New York is alarming. I mean they seem to be one of the gold standards of testing, and even they have these long waits. Even a well oiled machine is slow as shit, with a virus like this that's just scary. You can't even have a sigh of relief when you get the results since you probably risked exposure at least a dozen more times since you were tested.
