Terry Crews is trying a bit too hard to appear as the "safe" black guy to the network execs, especially after the Gabrielle Union discrimination suit. She went to bat for him after he came out with his sexual assault story and he left her out to dry. He's trying to protect that check at this point and if he becomes a toothless shark then so be it.

Nah, its got to be more than that.

Terry Crews is risking a lot for something he could easily be quiet about. Hes already respected and successful, plus hes got a family to consider. Now his reputation and maybe potential jobs will take a big hit because of course not everyone will agree with him and the film industry is real sensitive about this kind of controversy. Crews is a celebrity who started a YouTube channel to give advice and motivational support to anyone looking for guidance. I would bet anything hes sincere about his current stance.

There is nothing ignorant about my statement, you people just devalue black life. Black people are being oppressed,terrorized, hit on every aspect of American life from employment to and beyond. And yet most of the people who have an issue with what I said, have no issue what Terry said about black Supremacy.

Just like how the CSA flag is flown proudly throughout America, the American president supports it, as if it was not the made for the sole reason to the support a nation build to defend slavery and the exploration of black people.

So tell me when it okay to tell an oppressed group of people to watch out before you become ______ Supremacist ? Only when that group is black seems to the answer.

Dude, what do you expect? We live in areas with high crime rates. In fact, I am currently going through a personal dilemma where a couple neighborhood kids are asking me to buy them a bike pump and my parents are accusing them of being drug runners when I mentioned I'm looking for a bike pump for them.

This is my biggest problem with BLM and people calling out cops. There's always a consequence to an action. People think we can have the gangsta culture sitting high and mighty in black culture but feel it in no way influences how we're collectively perceived and how we treat ourselves. This simply isn't true. If we focus on uplifting our community and holding ourselves to a specific collective standard, so many other things will fall into place, including the problem of police brutality.

Any organization can lead to a bad mindset under certain circumstances. I think people get caught up on the word supremacy because of the connotation of some kind of actual power. The better message would be avoid making sweeping generalizations of what you're fighting against and dehumanizing what you might consider as the "other side" of things, lest you develop an attitude where you see yourself as their better. The question would be, is that a problem seen in any BLM circles, or did he just bring up this idea out of the ether?

Bruh, police have been busting our heads since time immemorial. Respectability politics is not going to work, it never does. As long as the person behind the badge doesn't see your humanity it doesn't matter if you have a PhD or if you've been in and out of jail. We DO need to focus on uplifting our communities, but police brutality and misconduct is something that is not in our control at the moment. We can put a focus on it with organizations like BLM, but it's really up to politicians and law enforcement to see it and enact those changes.
