We all take calculated risks in life. We all get in our cars every day (or take the bus) and there's always that SLIGHT chance we could die in a car crash. At this stage of the game, it's time to start weighing the options against each other and make a call. We need to consider living with the risk of the virus. 90 people die in this country from car accidents. At the peak we were over 2000 deaths from covid. To answer your question though, if we are trying to implement the safest education possible I'd say we continue remote learning, mandate free internet access to low income homes, and ensure that textbook materials are accessible online. I already know you'll bring up that costs too much, but you asked about solutions for education not for the economy. Yes education needs to continue, schools need to reopen and people need to get out of their houses but the idea is to do it at the right time. Cases are not dropping and staying down and until that happens it is not safe to open up schools. If Trump shown any type of care for the safety of the American people over these last four months he would have won a lot of support. And yet time and again he has shown that the economy matters to him more then the american people. That happiness matters more then safety.
