I still havent' seen it but in the trailers it seemed like the story has to do with allegories for Trumpers. and KKK and stuff like that. I think it was republicans that were mad

Pretty damn clear the show creator didn't understand the original comic, and it would have done better without being connected to Watchmen.

it kinda fell apart at the end. not nearly as clever a reveal as the build up.

supposedly, the guy in charge is pretty famous for that, though. it was still great, but it could definitely have been better.

It started off great and lost a lot of steam at the end.Honestly, would have been better not being connected to Watchmen. Really felt like it had nothing to do with watchmen

There's the Watchmen tabletop RPG that Alan Moore worked on that's pretty decent for what it is actually.

Literally the ONLY thing that threw me off with the show was the porno version of Dr. Manhattan. The one in the movie just has an unworldly presence about him. He's constantly glowing and his eyes are whitened out. They just painted dude in the show blue and that was it. It just doesn't have the same effect. His acting isn't even the problem. It's just the presentation. Otherwise loved every episode and every character honestly. Especially Ozy...and Laurie....and Sista Knight and Looking Glass and Hooded Justice, etc. The character work is just so good.

I felt Doctor Manhattan needed some CGI enhancement to look a little more like the comic. The actor himself was fine, but he looked too... human. He had a bulbous head (giggity), which was off-putting to me. Which was the point at first, but when he goes full Manhattan, I felt he needed a little bit of enhancing to get closer to the comic look.

Ironically, the look of Snyder's Manhattan was perfect. In fact, all the movie costumes were well done.

P.S. Can't believe people had a problem with dude's wang.

So is Alan Moore stupid for hating the social commentary that the V for Vendetta film had?

I only ever saw the trailer and it really just seemed like masks, everyone wearing masks and the good guys have masks and the bad guys have masks and masks masks masks. It just didn't draw me in.

hmm, what was different about his portrayal in the show than in the movie, what possible reason could so many gamers have about why the show portrayal of Manhattan was so much worse than the movie one

One of the things people were complaining about was that the show went heavily in on racism in America, the cops, the KKK, etc. After seeing the s*** go down the last month & a half I think it was eerie timing.

The last similarity I noticed was the Tulsa massacre. Trump had his rally there and wanted to have it on Juneteenth, a holiday about the end of slavery.

f*** the next similarity could be if Robert Redford gives out a statement on reparations.

Crappy special effects, vastly underpowered, generally unimpressive. I know you're baiting out an answer involving his race, but that doesn't really matter.
