Ability as I really wish I was musically talented, and I could make enough money with it.

That's actually a good one, probably go with the musical ability. I'm sure it would bring more happiness and you could make a living off it should you choose to.

Im amazed how close this is.

People saying theyd make the money with the ability dont realize how difficult it is to get anywhere in music even when youre talented as fuck.

And even then its probly years before it really starts to pay off and to get there youd be driving around hours and hours a day to get to shitty gigs in shitty places and even then when you do make it touring is still an insane grind.

Especially if you arent charming af, pretty as fuck, or have some new gimmick no one has seen the odds of you ever coming close to that earning potential are insanely small and youd be putting in a ton of work to get there.

And like i said even if you could were talking years upon years of driving around most of your waking hours just to get to shows for enough cash to hit the next show and hope the exposure ever amounts to anything.

ive known more than one person who made a living off music and the most talented of them by far can play guitar better than damn near anyone.

He got by for 20 years, put out a few albums, and now he works with people with brain injuries.

You could literally play a film score by yourself. Background on music albums. Tours.

Session musicians dont make fuck all so the background music aint ever getting you within throwing distance.

The rest still requires luck and a ton of hard work before you even have a chance to work on any project thatll potentially pay hundreds of thousands let alone millions.

its a tiny percentage of musicians who ever make anything close to that and many of those who did definitely didnt get there because they were the most talented.

If the skill is the main thing thats totally reasonable but if youre choosing the skill cause it has greater earning potential thats a bad call all around.

Plus call me crazy but id rather just have 50 million than spend all the time on the road and shit.

It also takes a pretty intense work ethic to have a career in music. It's not like people just hand you work cause you can play well
