It's a show where owners of a restaurant/diner/business have their employees investigated after noticing stuff being missing or used.

I saw an episode where the owner would notice his kitchen equipment was being used overnight. The security guard they hired would sneak in his twin brother at night by dressing him up in the same uniform. The owner had a surveillance system that would notify him if anyone who wasn't his employee was in the building so this would trick them system because it would only register the one security guard. They would then use his equipment at night to cook stuff for their own business in secret.

This is a more convoluted twist than a Metal Gear Solid game. Who makes up this shit?

Some of those really do make me wonder. The one you describe is straight up something that would be done in Mission Impossible.

And it's all to...run a business at night.

I've only watched a few episodes and another one was also that. A guy would run a secret pop up restaurant in his brothers restaurant at night to cook the food that he wanted to cook without his brothers knowledge. They have these complex operations like they're smuggling guns or something but they're just serving pasta.

So this restaurant owner owns and operates a security system with facial recognition that knows who does and does not work for him? Yep, this is a real thing that happened.

Don't know what this show is but based on this alone no. No way a restaurant has anything sophisticated enough to need something that complicated to trick it

I think you guys are misunderstanding part of the premise, x.x . The owners don't have the camera systems or anything fancy; the guy who comes in to help them is who owns the equipment, and he brings in some of his workers for undercover roles to help better understand what is going on.

In this case I'm sure it was the owner who had the facial recognition alert thing. It would buzz his phone. The show people then installed the surveillance system stuff.
