yea, but as long as you sneak up on them as Ellie, you can do a stealth kill with your knife

I also saw one as Abby, but it was during an action scene, so I haven't seen what she does against them

the exploration in the Seattle area is pretty cool.

I was just looking around, and I saw this open window which ended up leading into an abandoned record store.

I go into one of the rooms and see a guitar, so I go to it, and it leads to a cutscene where Ellie sings an acoustic version of Take on Me, and it leads to a conversation that felt like it would have been this mandatory thing in any other game.

so Ellie and Dina come across this hotel looking for WLF because they believe that Abby and her crew are a part of the unit due to them having the patches, and they find a bunch of them shot dead

on the second floor, they find a dude that Ellie recognizes as being with Abby, and he's been tied up, tortured, and killed, and that's when she realizes that this was all Tommy getting info and revenge (he left a day or two before Ellie and Dina to Seattle)

Ellie and Dina were ambushed by the WLF (seems like Abby really is a part of their unit), and Ellie was taken hostage. Dina was able to save her (I thought that Dina was about to die), and now the fight against the WLF has officially begun

It honestly reminds me of pre-release MGS2, lol. I'm pretty sure the trailers showed playable Snake in areas where Raiden actually is.

I seem to remember them only showing the tanker part in pre-release stuff. This was during a time where companies could get away with a handful of screenshots and a video or two, and fans were happy to buy it based off that.

I have one gripe with the gameplay, and it's how Dina keeps getting in the way, and how she been push you out of cover spots when she tries to take cover. and the same thing in stealth how enemies don't see your partner, but it's not as bad as the first game, where they'd run right in front of the enemy; this time she just takes cover when you do.

Ellie and Dina finally split up because the stress of the night before is exacerbating Dina's morning sickness, or something, so the trailers were legit in that sense

now Ellie is trying to find and help Tommy since the WLF are closing in on him (they heard that a lone armed man is being pursued over WLF radio)

they're not difficult to get by, but they dissuade exploration, especially when you're not trying to kill everyone around.

actually judging by my other saves I underestimated. But it depends on your pace of course, I think I'm going a bit quicker than you are

and yeah the bow is great. It is very useful in sections up ahead

the level design in this game is really good.

I'm in that neighborhood shortly after you get the bow, and there are so many places to hide, but the same goes for the enemies, where almost any direction can house a threat.

Ellie finally confronted Joel about what happened at the end of the first game, but he hasn't revealed what really happened, just saying like he did before, about how there were other immune and no cure

my save is saying "Seraphites", so I guess that I'm gonna come across the creepy cult dudes pretty soon

just came across the stalkers for the first time

they're probably not difficult in relation to the other enemies, but for some reason, they have me feeling a little nervous

the scars are a good addition.

dudes are mad creepy, and have you playing more stealthily, if you're the type to put an emphasis on action.

and sneaking through this park kinda feels like some MGS stuff, but instead of Russian soldiers, you're picking off a bunch of cultists

That museum sequence was fantastic, I was wanting more Joel.

Easily the best bit was the mirror and all the funny faces you could pull. It was adorable and you remember Ellie is just a little kid.

I think I'm very close to finishing. Some sections in the second part of the game have been freaking awesome

this time Ellie goes to the hospital where Joel saved her at the end of the first game for some idea about that happened, and she finds a tape recorder

Joel rides out to find her and she confronts him with an ultimatum - tell her the truth of what happened, or she leaves Jackson

he finally tells her the truth

and she tells him she's going back, but they're done

end of flashback & start of day 3

people have said that there are no likeable characters in this game, but I've got to disagree.

Dina is good people, and Jesse is the bro.

and of course I can't forget: Ellie, Joel, or Tommy.

I still haven't played as Abby since the beginning, but she's the only notable character that I haven't liked.

I don't mean that she's a bad character, or poorly written, from what I've seen, but there haven't been many chances to get to know her better

Ellie and Jesse believe that Tommy is the suspected sniper that the WLF are hunting, but Ellie plans to hunt Abby down instead so she and Jesse parted ways

this means that she's willing to risk Jesse and Tommy's safety/lives for revenge, despite Jesse going there to help her and Dina out and Tommy waging war against Abby and the rest of the WLF on her behalf so that she can stay safe and keep her hands clean

seems like Marlene was initially against sacrificing Ellie for the vaccine (I forgot if this was also the case in the first game), but Abby's dad was able to talk her into it

Marlene then says she's going to tell Joel because he has a right to know
