If they're claiming that the stuff in the book is classified, then by definition they have to be acknowledging that it's accurate.
The National Security Council reviewed it. The fourth NSC revision was reviewed in late April; no other revisions for the book have been requested since then.

[ As of June 8, the NSC had not sent the book's final clearance letter (because... why?). ]

To acknowledge that this book is about making money and an attempt to rebrand Republicans as a party who stood up to Trump despite the obvious fact that they, as a whole, did not?

Nobody will ever think the Republican stood up to Trump, because they didn't. They had their one last chance in February.

This book, Romney, all the Bush Administration members coming out against Trump are all part of a marketing effort to preserve the Republican Party by distancing themselves from Trump.
It doesn't seem that coordinated to me. Romney has been consistently critical and outspoken about Trump. Bush has been consistent too, although much less outspoken. Bolton, on the other hand, is just the latest rat to flee the sinking ship. There are plenty more like him, who enabled Trump and tried to cash in on the way out. The rest of the GOP leadership has shown little to no effort to distance themselves from Trump; if anything, they've distanced themselves from Romney by dis-inviting him from Republican events.

There may be plenty of Conservatives who want their party back but among current elected officials, Romney and Amash are the only two who fit that description. I don't think anyone who voted against impeachment can be rehabilitated.
