Like, they were all basically just the 18th century equivalent of the people who are ripping down their memorials now lol. They were radical protestors fighting to change their country for the better.

Do you think in 200 years, future protesters will tear down all the statues of Raz Simone?

What's even more ironic is a lot of these protesters SHOULD be considered racist even by today's standards, but rather than being condemned by society and the media they are celebrated.

I've interpreted his statement as meaning individual facets can be solid, but there's still things you do now that can be considered barbaric to others. There were certain things the founders did that will seem morally righteous to us today (like Democracy) and certain things that are terrible like slavery.

Perhaps in a few decades, people will look back at us, and think our meat consumption is terrible. Who knows?
