At Sam's Club I try to put everything in my cart with the barcodes facing up so I just grab the scan gun and go BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP Done! and then I'm left waiting for the register to catch up. And usually the U-Scans have a cashier or someone at a desk not far from the U-Scans in case you have a problem using them, or one of them breaks (which defeats the U-Scan concept as far as I'm concerned).
