This one is made of metal, so it should not be a problem. This one has much more bass than the one I had before. Are they supposed to be this
heavy in bass?

Does the top of your head get cold when you put it on?

No. The sides are metal, which were the weak points of my old headset).

I got a HyperX Cloud Alpha S. I needed to install firmware on it to make 7.1 functionality on PS4 (and while it doesn't support Xbox One unless if used as a normal headset, the same feature can still be used on the console by going into console settings and enabling Dolby Atmos).

All I did so far to test it was to finish off the final 5 hordes in Days Gone for 100% completion.

I did tape it up. Twice. It happened on one side years ago, and now on the other side last week.

It got to the point where I couldn't adjust it anymore, and the right ear was not completely covered by the ear piece, making it really uncomfortable for long uses.

This new one however, is miles better, especially since this is a "budget" one of about $125 (and there is no way in hell I am buying one that costs $200, especially when the new consoles will cost around $1000 when I preorder them, but also money needed for my classes, and it would be an absolute nightmare thinking about taking Calculus 3 online if I need to), and was on lists on the top gaming headsets of 2019/2020.

Well, to actually answer the question, it depends on many characteristics of the headphone's design and components, although those marketed towards gaming do tend to emphasize the bass. That set in particular appears to have bass adjustment switches towards the rear bottoms of the ear cups. I haven't used them myself, but having one on each cup leads me to believe they're physically adjusting the porting, as opposed to being like an EQ control. Have you tried sliding those?
