And is there any way to increase the screen size? Even if it's like a mod for the PC version?

I know you can go full-screen in the MM and MMX collections, but the upscaling doesn't really look very good, so I usually didn't.

yeah i tried to play zero 1 and it's not fun so I dropped it

i do have a bit of a hint...the default controls on MMZ are really bad. they didnt get fixed until ZX. so in the Zero games, go to the options, put your dash in one of the shoulder buttons, and the "sub weapon" on the other.

also at the bottom you'll notice there are control "types". you wanna switch to "type B". thats the one where you use both weapons by just pressing a button. the other types are all super convoluted where you need to hold a button and press another, or switch between weapons before you can use them.

as a general basic strategy you'll want to have the Z saber as your main weapon, and the buster in the sub slot. having the buster in a shoulder button allows you to very easily keep charge at all times while you hack away with the saber, so you can release a charge shot when needed.

Zero 1 isn't a bad game either. it just has a really weird and extremely punishing system where you can permanently fail missions and get locked out of boss weapons and upgrades forever. If that system doesn't sound appealing , you can turn on the save point feature to basically get rid of it.

Yeah, I learned about permanently failing missions the hard way, but it's not a bad game. I got to the end of it and didn't hate it. In fact, hearing the rest of the series is better is very encouraging to me!

Zero games have top notch gameplay but they dont do a good job of explaining all the systems to the player.

just understanding the combo system made boss fights a lot more enjoyable to me.

All are enjoyables games, specially Z3 and Z4. The history is dark. The new save feature is great, helped me a lot.
