God help me, I three star'd all the base challenge maps and am working my way through the DLC ones. What is it about this game that makes me want to play more after I think I'm done.

I never got the hate for the Riddler trophies in AK. I found them way, way more tedious in AC.

I did all the riddles. Asylum and City I wanted to do them, Knight it was a bit of a chore but at least you get a boss fight and Catwoman closure out of it.

It took me way, way too long to realize drifting slows down the timer on races. I think one AR challenge does mention it in the description but there's no actual tutorial on drifting except for in the WayneTech DLC. Which btw is completely busted since it asks you to hold down Square, hit O to turn off obstacles, and press X and move the left stick in a certain direction to dodge said obstacles, all while balance your drift with the left stick. I had no chance until a YouTube comment said to switch the X and O buttons, which did help a lot.

Because Knight is deceptively good. Had they made a few decisions differently, like how challenge rooms were handled or how movesets were put together for other characters, it would legitimately be better than City was. It's a bunch of small things put together that holds the game back, like the Bat Swarm being gone because they want me to be able to pick up bats or pipes now.

Thanks. Such a lame reward for 240% lol. A much better costume choice would be the nightmare Batman from the epilogue, a similar thing was an alt costume in Origins anyway. Or just make it Arkham Knight; would make that scene where they're choking each other way better.

Anyway might come back and finish the DLC achievements one day, but for now, onto Return to Arkham: Arkham Asylum.

The only thing I don't like about remastered Asylum is that thanks to the lighting change, Batman's face looks godawful. You notice it anytime he speaks.

Knight was so good with the QoL changes, combat and predator additions.

Like I simply cannot go back to asylum and enjoy the fighting or stealth because it feels like it's unfinished.

I was wondering what it was that was bothering me so much.

First Scarecrow sequence done. I think he looks more like another lunatic here while in Knight he's more like an established supervillain. The syringe claw is still genius though.

Defeated Harley Quinn, over half of riddles solved. Clayface might be my favorite Easter egg in the game.

Asylum had the TV head Jokers, City had Calendar Man's stories, but Knight didn't have any progressive, optional scenes like that huh?

Did the return to Arkham remasters update the combat at all? I've only played the PS3 version when it first came out and thought it was a lot more... rigid in comparison to the later games. It definitely felt like the original version in comparison to how much more flow there was in City/Origins/Knight

I don't think so because I'm having the same feeling. It's not any one thing; it's just less fluid then it is in City. Also a lot less variety in fights. We'll see how I do on the challenge maps.

Challenges done. I forgot the Playstation version had playable Joker so I took him for a spin since I never got to play as him on 360. He has very elaborate animations, but there's no challenge goals for him so he's more like a proof of concept for the extra characters going forward.

I would have liked for Knight to revisit the idea of playable Joker given that he gets his own segment and everything. Maybe a mode that leads up to him burning down Gotham and killing the rest of the villains.

Now it is is time, for the best one.

I recently replayed Asylum, City, and played Knight for the first time myself. For some reason I couldn't get this damn easter egg to work despite having done it before lol.

I actually like Origins a lot; I wish they had put it on PS4. Deathstroke and Bane were really cool in that game.

That's very unfortunate. It'd be a great looking game otherwise.

Also I forgot how many crass jokes there are in this. Just two hours in and there's every Catwoman line being innuendo, every line aimed at a woman involving "bitch", a joke about Joker masturbating, and at least two jokes about trans people. Knight is a lot more respectful by comparison, which is funny when a ratings bump usually means the opposite.

I didn't think Pyg was much worse than Hush in City. I would say more stuff like Oracle's suicide, the Killing Joke adaptation, the Jason Todd scenes, and Joker gunning people down at the end.

I'm of the opinion that if Batman hadn't been an absolute dick to Freeze after rescuing him, then there wouldn't have been a Freeze fight later on.

But a lot of shit happens to Batman in like, two hours so I get it.

Ra's boss fight done. The whole Wonder City thing is a really involved backstory for Lazarus Pits and Solomon Grundy, it's weird that Batman never investigated it before Arkham City (in the Arkham timeline I mean).

Omg yes that's right they did! I remember grinning at that joker line, and feeling very vindicated when he mentioned the ridiculous church.
