Even outside the mirror thing, the game has crashed several times at this point. It's been a while since I played Arkham City and Arkham City GOTY edition on 360 so I don't remember how stable those were, but I think they held together better than this. Also the aforementioned framework drops, especially during Protocol 10 where it's a sub 20 fps grind all the way through the helicopter section.

NG+ story complete, all riddles acquired for Batman and Catwoman. The Catwoman ones are a waste of time honestly. And her grapple system sucks. It's fine in Predator rooms but as a method of traversing the city it sucks bigly.

Are you playing on base PS4? I didn't have many drops but I played on pro. The Return to Arkham ports are pretty poor conversions. Going to UE4 really didn't offer many benefits for all the down sides.

All sidequests done so campaign is complete, just the challenge maps now. Got to read the bios and stories now.

Some thoughts I've had between playing the trilogy again:

-Freeflow Focus is great and should have returned in Knight. Trading the use of gadgets and special moves for continuous slow motion is a good trade that made the enemy variations manageable, and would have been very welcomed given all the variations in Knight.

-I could take or leave the Titans, but the hulking brutes that take 50 hits to bring down are awesome and should also have made a return. Instead their replacement is just bigger armored goons that can also come in the variations of the regular goons. It was a good idea, but I think they would have been a lot more enjoyable if they weren't armored and you didn't have to stun them before every hit.

-Similar to above, the Abramovici Twins should have returned, but conjoined this time. Now THAT might have been a good Arkham boss.

-The REC is my favorite gadget in City, and it's even better in Knight where it has the ability to knock down stun baton users.

-Regular use Triple Batclaw was overkill so I understand why it was removed post-Asylum. But overkill is why I love these games!

-Similar note, using batclaw to pull dudes off ledges was too powerful. But I would have liked for it to have made it to Knight. Maybe a nerf would have been stopping it from pulling people over ledges, but not ledges with ground right beneath them.

-This is my favorite version of the Penguin. From the design, to the hatred for the Waynes, to the cockney thug voice that may or may not just be him trying to sound tough. Also the dynamic with his henchmen where he's capable of incredible violence towards them, but they still love him because he at least rewards you if you do a good job, unlike every other Arkham psycho you could join up with.

-Two-Face is a great character but a very lukewarm villain. What you see in these games is really the extent of how his plans go. So I'm ok with the gameplay never evolving, but he should have had more scenes just the same.

-GOTHAM WILL BURN! *runs out of jet fuel escaping from a trap that he set*

-I want a Hush-centric game. Also it's kind of fucked up that Batman just locked him up in some vault in Wayne Tower.

-The voice acting and scripting got better with every game, even Hamill seemed to bring more energy to Knight than he did to Asylum. Only wet blanket is Kevin Conroy. Maybe it's the age, maybe the direction, but he's very one note across the trilogy. Doesn't even do the Bruce Wayne/Batman voice change he did in TAS.

-Not sure if this is my favorite Riddler, but Wally Wingert really brought the character to life. Love his gradual decline ending in Knight where his own informants are helping him out of pity for how broken he's become. My hope is that since the series has really brought him as low as he can get while pushing his creativity to its limit, the next game will give us the reformed private investigator Riddler whom we help solve mysteries. It's not like people will miss the trophies at this point.

-Where is my dedicated Nightwing game and movie god fuck it

He does it in the beginning of City, I think. I think that's the only time Bruce ever talks to someone who doesn't know he's Batman.

Oh dang I forgot Harley Quinn's Revenge. It's right there with Batgirl as good DLC that's way too short and not fleshed out enough. It did develop Batman's character more though, showing how cold he's become in his interactions with the Bat Fam and how brutal his interrogations are getting. When I first played Knight I was really let down by how that characterization seemed to go away, but on the replay it does still come up. I would have liked to have seen more consequences from it though.

Nah, Batman is his real voice in TAS.

Huh. I mean I guess that is truer to the character from that period going forward. I just miss the stories where Bruce was the reality and Batman the mask.

No Arkham today. Am halfway through the combat challenge maps (as Batman).

Gonna have to do the Calendar Man trophy at some point. Does changing the date on the ps4 work if it's connected to the internet, or do I have to disconnect?
