I went to my doctor a couple days ago to get stuff diagnosed and now I'm pretty certain doctors don't actually do anything. They just tell the radiologist to do an X-Ray and the pharmacist to prescribe some pills, then they make you gossip about what's happening in your life so they can stall before Not Doing Anything with the next patient!

Yes, you should 100% do whatever ce tells you to do.

Doctor: That will be $100 for the conversation and $100 for the medicine.

Pharmacists don't prescribe pills; they dispense it. Your doctor does the prescribing.

The list of pre-reqs required for acceptance into medical school will generally require a full bachelors degree of credit hours. The pre-med track is usually a Bachelors of Science in Biology. I went into medical school with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering and a few extra biology classes. I'm fairly certain that no medical school would look twice at an applicant without a bachelors degree, hundreds of volunteer hours, and great letters or recommendation. Even for "non-trads" who apply with a non pre-med major.

I'll bet $200 you did not actually spend 10 minutes talking to a doctor. There is absolutely no way in hell one of them gave you that time of day.
No offense, but doctors just don't do that.

That's the point of a follow-up. Just because there is nothing wrong with you doesn't mean your doctor isn't working hard. You know how many patients some doctors have to see per hour? Doctors aren't going to make up a diagnosis just so they can look busy.

Yes, given how extraordinarily competitive entry into medical school is. 10-20 years ago all you needed was a good GPA and a biology degree. Nowadays, you need a stellar GPA if you're premed (requirement is lower for "harder" degrees like engineering or biochem but is still >3.5), a stellar MCAT score, and volunteer hours out the wazoo just to make it past the screening bots.
