meaning worked for the country as a whole, not for some upper middle class white people exclusively

and my tax return was bigger last year doesnt count, because the trump tax reform has been shown to not actually help a wicked majority of the country

this includes conservative policies by democrat politicians like obamas war supplementing

Not really they're policy but they were against the affordable health care act. The amount my health insurance and taxes went up with that was just disgusting. Over 5k a year simply gone. Im all for health insurance for everyone but not if it means taking so much of my money. Figure out another way

Edit- 5k was alot for me as well I was working 2 jobs (mcdonalds & walmart) at the time

It went up because they enacted measures to be fair to people who otherwise couldn't get affordable healthcare options because no one would insure them for preexisting conditions.

Yeah, everyone's going to pay more when people who are absolutely sick try to cut their healthcare costs but it was the right thing to do.

dems figured out another way and conservatives changed the shit out of the bill until it was the tire fire that it is today so i guess that is evidence that conservative policies do fail

I like how the only answer in here so far is "They wanted to help sick people with my money I use for entertainment". Conservatives are a very compassionate bunch.

There are several other options. They have all been put up by Democrats
Republicans couldn't cobble together a plan to replace the ACA, let alone pass a vote to get rid of it (though, barely).
Healthcare sucked before. It didn't cover enough, would kick you off when you really needed it, and wouldn't cover certain people. Healthcare sucks now. It's too expensive to cover anything meaningful, even regular doctor's vists.
Healthcare in America seriously needs to change, but it's Republicans (and Biden) who don't want to have that conversation.

Fair enough. They should be taking money from people who aren't dealing with all that. It should come mostly from people who never had to deal with that type of stuff.

The conservative establishment would have loved nothing more than for you to have stayed in that position convinced that it was other working americans that were the ones trying to keep you there

One post listed a couple that genuinely were good policies by conservative politicians.

im genuinely curious and not looking for a gotcha. To my knowledge, most conservative policies provide greater wealth disparity, more wasted money, worse crime rates, etc

the war on drugs, republican immigration laws, education policies, trickle down, all have been exactly useless or, more frequently, made the problem exponentially worse

not saying left policies dont sometimes result in that also
