To define it as a terrorist group would be ignorant at best and fascist in itself at worst

Its true. I don't always agree fully with their actions but they are a chaotic force. There is no real leader or central goal. Many antifa might have different goals in mind even at odds with each other. They are similar in that way to Anonymous

Except there are explicit gatherings and groupings that can be pointed out. White supremacists also aren't an organization, but we can point out specific gatherings and label them as terrorists if they act like terrorists.

Yes it is. There is clearly an organized elite of the organization and that is who Trump was talking about. Supporting Antifa is not the same as being Antifa. They are by all accounts and definitions, terrorists, not talking about anti fascists in general, but the people who literally want to shoot people who support Trump and his supporters and literally cause mayhem. This is one of those instances where people kind of gloss over what actual shitty people the group are (The elite, the ones who stir the pot in the shadows and heavily advocate violence and destruction) because in general the cause itself is just. I am anti fascist too, but Antifa is not the answer.

No you can't, because even the USA has trouble defining the KKK as a terrorist group

It seems like as long as antifa doesn't organize or have leadership or something, they can't be criticized as a whole. I guess it's pretty clever if you fall for it.
