Cant listen to for you or browse or radio. Like I pay for this guys, you cant shut down something I pay for to virtue signal for a day. Like okay, if it was just an ad it was fine but at least let me hit okay and resume my normal listening. Listen together takes you to Beats1. Search and download music still work.

If you buy shit from Apple, you should be used to overpaying for things.

Just think of it as your monthly subscription paying for 29 days of access instead of 30. Makes the per day cost higher, but it's Apple so they're instantly forgiven.

If Apple truly wanted to make a statement, they'd refund people for that day... although I guess they're making a very different statement.

They are doing it to raise awareness on social issues instead of continually living in a racist unjust society. This could work for someone to support social issues or raise awareness for human rights so hopefully one day we can live in a just society. It's a good idea.

theres also probably people who dont really care one way or another but will be so annoyed by this that theyll want to oppose whatever message theyre wanting to send just because theyre pissed off

Nickelodeon went off air for a few minutes to show some messages on screen expressing their views, but then they went back to their regular programming so that kids could watch their cartoons

This is something that happens a lot where I live.
When people want to protest, the common tactic is to picket and shut down the busiest intersection in the city for a few hours (often during the evening rush hour).
Sure it gets peoples attention, but it really damages the protesters image and the image of their cause.
Even if you have a legitimate complaint, its hard to come across as the good guys when all we know about you is that you think that your problems give you the right to inconvenience tens of thousands of other people.
Im not saying these people dont have legitimate concerns, but the message they send is definitely not were worth listening to.

It affected everybody who uses the service. And yeah, they basically took your money and forced you to participate in something you might not agree with. Its (theft) terrible business practice, but theres not a lot you can do.
