Do you care about what happens to criminals when they break the law?

Please dont make this a joke. I want your honest opinion. I watched a video of a group of young men harassing a truck driver. They started to damage the truck, get physical with the truck driver, and started to loot the semi. The truck driver drove off, and amidst his escape, one of the harassers got stuck underneath the truck and can be heard screaming as the truck drove off. Meanwhile the group of harassers all started to point blame at the trucker, yelling at him to stop, saying that the whole thing was fucked up, calling the trucker a scumbag....

In that moment, I honestly from the bottom of my heart realized that I wouldnt care if the guy who got stuck under the truck had died. How is this morally right? What does the trucker have anything to do with this? Now he loses money because of his monetary losses plus hes beaten up?

But do you notice how the criminal tries blaming the good person to be the bad guy. Calling him names only because their operation didnt go as planned and now someone is dead? The driver is not the scumbag here, the looter is. I dont understand how my entire Facebook friends list does not get this??? YOU ARE IN THE WRONG when you commit a crime, how am I supposed to be on your side? Do people realize that they are encouraging violence?

Am I allowed to post links to graphic videos on here? I just watched another disturbing video. A shop owner tried defending his shop from looters, and they hanged up on him, stoned him, threw a cement on his head, and left him lifeless on the ground in what appears to be a definite murder...

HOW IS ANYONE CONDONING THIS?!? PEOPLE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF FUCKING CHRIST?!? I am watching half of my African American friends on Facebook saying there is nothing wrong with this, theyre promoting the protest: WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with some of you??

Do people not understand that agreeing with this means you are JUSTIFYING the deaths that rioters are causing? If you sleep with that on your conscience... I have no comment. I would starve before I steal food, and die before I earn blood money. I came from poverty unlike most of you did, this is the lowest form of human filth I have yet to witness.

saw that video and if the trucker stops he ends up in the hospital or possibly dead. did the right thing by taking off. if protestors want to play stupid games, they will win stupid prizes.

I have no issue with someone using lethal force to defend themselves or their home/business from a criminal in the moment. Beyond that, I think they should recieve due process and be treated humanely in prison.

IANAL, but as I understand it, if you commit a felony, and some of your co-criminals die, you're on the hook for any deaths.

Also, situations where stuff like this are why I generally support stand your ground type laws on principle even if they can be abused in practice.

Violence begets violence. It's why Gandhi opted for alternate methods in the first place.

The issue here of course, is that silence also enables violence.
