Chinese state media took aim at Trump over the weekend as many American cities are gripped with raging protests and violent clashes with police and destroyed property while comparing the situation in China and Hong Kong Protesters!!

Beijing has long infuriated with criticism by the West, especially by the Trump administration over its handling of the pro-democracy protests that has been plaguing Hong Kong as Western leaders denounced the tactics they used against the protesters even though the protests there too have caused violent clashes and property destruction.

The chinese government circulated clips suggesting Hong Kong Police were at least "restrained" in comparison to the american police who were using more physical violence against protesters

Trump also boasted "When the Looting Starts, the Shooting Starts" and suggests the military must use full force to stop the rioters while at the same time denounced China using the same tactics in the Hong Kong protests

Hu Xijin wrote "US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi once called the violent protests in Hong Kong a beautiful sight to behold. It was as if the radical rioters in Hong Kong somehow snuck into the US and created a mess like they did last year"

Beijing sparked outrage and concern earlier this month with a plan to impose a law on Hong Kong that it said was needed to protect national security and curb "terrorism" but was condemend by pro-democracy activists and western nations, particularly from Trump..

Trump made the announcement to strip Hong Kong of its special privileges and was no longer autonomous form China

from the little I've seen of each, USA has both worse protesters and worse police. I haven't seen recent stuff in HK though which may be worse than what was happening last year.

Not "just as bad", but definitely hypocritical of the U.S. to condemn China when our own police are brutalizing innocent people all over the country right now.
The U.S. also imprisons the largest % of its population of anyone in the world.
The U.S. also kills a lot of civilians with errant military strikes.

U.S. is pretty hypocritical in general, and the world hates us for it. Ron Paul talked a lot about blow back in foreign policy, but his party sadly never listened to him.

Yes. We do. And it sucks. Thats why we are rioting now. But I am saying if these riots were in China there would already be tanks in every city and soldiers with machine guns cracking down on the citizens

Considering that the US has full-on rioting and yet the response is tepid compared to China's, LOL! If China had this much shit going on, they'd be rolling in the tanks.

Which has nothing to do with the discussion at hand on every conceivable level. However, it's also not so much that the US is simply arresting more people per capita than it is a matter that we lock people away forever; it's a system that's been encoded so hard that when Americans hear that somebody is sentenced to 10 or 20 years they're suggesting it should instead be 50 or life.

However, I'll admit that on some levels it's depressing that the US will riot over a suspect killed by a botched police takedown yet a drone can kill a wedding procession overseas and nobody takes to the streets. And we have riots over cops arresting somebody yet nothing for the NSA's mass spying.

Things in the U. S. may not be as violent, so in that sense, they're not worse. However, it's more hypocritical when a nation that touts freedom of speech as one of its cor values cracks down on anti-establishment movements.

...except that's a gross simplification and the vast amount that die are armed.

There is a disproportionate amount of black people that die (both armed and unarmed), but it is not killing people "just for being black." It's far more complicated than that. It's a problem, but not on that level.
