So if I want a gaming pc instead of the next gen consoles, what do I need? Would I be better off just buying a premade since I don't know much about building one?

Halp!

I understand that a pc will cost me more. So 1k is okay by me.

I'll want a new keyboard and mouse. Probably a new monitor at some point, but doesn't need to be immediately.

what's the specs your monitor? it would be dumb to suggest a super powerful pc capable of 1440p 144hz if you only have a 1080p 60hz monitor tbh

okay well if you can stretch that 1000 a bit

https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/RPTwrH/great-amd-gaming-build

this is a good guide id think for something considered upper mid tier these days. this will last you well into next generation, and AMD is supporting that motherboard for at least another 2-3 years.

the case is missing though. lots of people like NXZT, Lian Li, and Corsair cases. just get one you like around 50-100 dollars.

also about that 5700 GPU. people like to say its bad because the drivers are wonky... which is true. but honestly ive never had an issue that caused me to want to return it. occasional black screens. but if you dont want to deal with that, get an RTX 2060 Super. MSI brand is good for the 2060 super.

It's old so probably not that good. I'll have to check though
