Current Events > Anyone else completely checked out of the riots/protests?(due to anxiety)

After seeing multiple videos of cops running over civilians, the bow an arrow guy, the truck running over people in Tallahassee Im just done with it all. I couldnt sleep at all last night tossed and turned. Helicopters kept flying over my apartment and I woke up to find out that the Target 5 mins away from my house was broken into. This Target was nowhere near a single protest.

I deleted all social media off my phone and besides going on here (not entering any topics about it here either) Im not consuming any of it via news. This just made me angry depressed and anxious. I cant take any more of it. If all of this happens and nothing changes it would be a travesty.

I wish I could but some of the twitter posts posted by the local forum I browse had a bunch of people saying they want to target the road I live on, including the residential areas, so I'm trying to see if I need to bounce or not. I mostly think it's jjst keyboard warrior stuff though, but people here are not afraid to use guns to protect their shit and has stand your ground laws so it would be an actually war zone that I don't want to be a part of.

I'm over it. It seems forced now and not really well thought out. What are they even trying to achieve? The cop has been arrested and charged with murder, what else can really be done? It seems like people are traveling to the riots to take part it them because they want something to do or feel like causing chaos. That doesn't really seem like it will get anywhere or is a cause that I care much about and it seems almost like people are taking advantage of the moment for personal reasons.

People should have been rioting for weeks when the Senate let Trump get off with soliciting a foreign power to influence an election. I'm not sure what the point of continuing to riot is at this time. That's just me though.
