But you should also know that staying out of direct sunlight stops UVB radiation which is associating with TANNING and VISUAL SUNBURNING. However, even in the shade, you were susceptible to UVA RADIATION damage which damages your SKIN at a deeper level, causing INCREASED aging! The mom was buying a tan for her daughter for her school pictures and the dude at the counter was like "I smell an easy sale" Eventually the daughter was pretty skeptical about the whole thing and didn't seem to want to do it but the mom was like "No you gotta look good for your school photo so you're doing it".
