You can keep your benefits but you need to declare that income to them so they can properly deduct/shift around what they can give you. It's above board, etc. But it's state by state. Mine offers it, NJ doesn't, etc.

The structure should feel like this for covid

1: Can't go to work (closed, etc) but still employed? Unemployment asap.
2: Can go to work partially? Declare those funds in your regular bi-weekly claim, keep doing both.
3: Can go to work 30-40 hours? Sadly, you gotta stop declaring on your bi-weekly and drop the benefits.

I wouldn't recommend it. They monitor your bank account for any incoming funds, automated flag system no less. "I didn't work this week" -> get unemployment -> deposit check -> they notice. That easy to get caught.

On the contrary I'd imagine this government is doing a better job catching people than paying off the backlog of applicants. All it takes is an automated system to ping your deposits and even if you don't hear anything, the odds it catches up to you is high once a tech/legal branch goes over the queued flags.

I just wouldn't risk it.

This is not a thing. They don't have access to your account and you can deposit as much as you want.

They find out through employer reports in their systems.

Alright, first, you're just airing out shit on CE. The people who told you to go ahead with potential fraud have the same footing I have in speaking against the idea. Second, how do you know the background or jobs I've had? If I wanted to shitpost, wouldn't I be avoiding topics like this?
