slmcknett 05/21/20 12:28:26 AM #1:	*no spoilers past where I'm at* Tried playing back in 2017 and got bored after three hours, but I'm on a Rona quarantine so I figured I might as well find something to do for the next two weeks and started it up again. Just got past Vortigern and saved after arriving in Zekson. I think Velvet, Magilou, and Rokurou(?) are great characters, but I'm just "eh" on Number Two and Eizen so far. Ray Chase as Arthur is superb, though, since Ray Chase never disappoints. No idea what I'm doing in combat beyond smashing the four attack buttons and using Velvet's R2 power up thing, since there's just way too much going on with the different terminologies and types of artes, and it all went straight over my head. But it's not boring or anything. And the locations are all really nice so far, graphically. Story's good so far, even though it's pretty much just a fusion of RWBY, FFXV, and Hunter x Hunter, three series that have pretty wack or boring stories lol. I guess that's really a pretty powerful motivating factor when you put it that way though. I could tell you about the characters and gameplay, though, and I think that's the appeal of the games moreso than what's going on in the main story. The Enhancement and Random Skills are just things you get when you have that specific item equiped? It's kinda tripping me up how Number Two's actor keeping switching up how they perform their voice -- they keep switching from high pitched and younger, to deeper and more masculine between scenes. Like they recorded stuff different days and didn't bother playing an audio reference for the actor. I kinda hate myself because I had Laphi2 wearing his stupid butler outfit and cowboy hat right before facing Artorius, so the following hour of serious cutscenes all had him dressed like a total idiot and it totally ruined the moment whenever he was on screen. On another note, one thing I esp love about the story is that every character has their own arc. Velvet has Arthur, Rokurou has this Shigure guy and now the Swordbreaker, Eizen's looking for Melchior, etc. And the characters that don't have arcs at the moment are still relevent, like Magilou having a friend that can read Laphi2's book. It's so great. I love this place. On another note, is there any point to actually cooking stuff? I've only made a dish for the cooking tutorial, and then never again.
