Pretty much the same for me-- and kidney stones are fucking terrible.

The biliary colic was the worst out of what I listed. It happens when you get a blockage coming out of your gall bladder. Your entire mid torso is in extreme pain, front and back, and it goes all the way up into your right shoulder. It usually lasts about 3 or 4 hours, until the blockage comes loose.

If reading my posts gives you an erection lasting longer than four hours, you're welcome.

I am not trying to sound tough here.

when I am in immense physical pain I SCREAM. Sort of like a mortal kombat 1 fatality scream.

there is nothing super tough about screaming in pain, I guess.

i brought this up because I dont want to come off as trying to sound manly. I dont cry from extreme pain, my body doesnt react that way. I scream like in MK. It sounds very dramatic, like a horror movie. But no crying

If tearing up is the same as crying, all the time. I'll see a nose hair that's a little longer than the rest and think "Oh, I'll just pluck that out. It won't hurt a bit." But it does. It always does.

In 2011, i got shingles. I was driven to the point of insanity with the pain and one night i cried myself to sleep.

One of those days, i walked into a kitchen cupboard and the edge of the door scratched through one of my neck sores and the pain was so great I immediately vomited.

Like the pain wasn't intense, but I couldn't physically get down the stairs in my house, I knew I would fall.

3 years ago. I had tendinitis in my feet so bad I could barely walk. Over the course of the day from limping so badly, my knees and calves started just killing me. But i was told I couldnt take off work...well because they sucked and I couldnt not have a job and a paycheck. I worked all day, on my feet the entire time. When I pulled into my driveway, I was in so much pain I couldnt find a position to get my leg out of the truck. After about 5 minutes, I just went for it....and almost blacked out and collapsed in the driveway.

I had gotten...complacent at that job. There were some decent benefits to the place. But I decided that night that I would have a new better paying job within six months....and I did. Fuck that place.

I cracked my ankle bone and tore my Achilles tendon completely about 10-12 years ago. It hurt really bad I was doing fine with the pain once I got home told my mom it hurt and what I thought it was I sat in the couch she snatched my shoe off and then my sock literally yanking them both off, it hurt more than when I sustained the injury. Cried for like 15mins I think she fucked it up even more....

Physical pain is only a trigger for children. I think its cause its evolutionary the way we get attention. If the child is in danger, it crys and the adult nearby helps them.

Adults dont need to cry from physical pain. An adult has a flight or fight trigger. If something painful happens, out adrenaline kicks in and we basically ignore the pain till we get out of danger.

An adult will cry for emotional and traumatic experience. A death. A break up. Reuniting with a long lost family/friend, Seeing people in danger, or starving. Usually when realizing something isnt eternal.

What was worse than that sharp pain at least for me was my first time getting vertigo. Oh dear lord it really screws you up royally. You can't make sense of anything, your mind goes blank and it feels like the room is literally spinning. I was glad though that I remembered that hitting yourself really hard on the back of the head helps with stopping it.

About 2 years ago, I had a wisdom tooth removed and wasn't thinking straight and I took the pain killer on an empty stomach when I got home. I spent 2 hours laying on the floor of the bathroom trying to throw up things in my stomach that didn't exist. It's a miracle I didn't blow out the stitches in my mouth. The tooth removal or aftermath of that were ok, but the violent reaction to the pain killer on an empty stomach was agonizing.

A bonus funny story to lighten the mood. I nearly came to tears earlier this year. I had been working outside in the yard for a few days and had a lovely heat rash in "man land". I was rummaging through the basket of creams and ointments and found what I needed and set it aside for a second, then I absentmindedly grabbed a tube that was the same color. End result, I put Bio Freeze on Man land. Not recommended.

As an adult, none that I can think of. I have a very high pain tolerance/threshold. Earlier this year, I fell halfway through the second story of my house. I saved myself somehow by throwing my body to the side in midair, landing on a pile of jagged floorboards full of nails. I ended up gashing my shin open quite badly along with major cuts and bruises elsewhere. I seriously should have gotten stitches in my shin but let it heal naturally. The whole thing knocked the breath out of me, made my eyes water and caused me a slight limp for a few days but no crying.

During my most recent pleurodesis surgery two or three years ago. My first two were near painless. The anesthetic was pretty good and I felt just discomfort as they cut into my side and slid some fatass tube into me. But the third one was fucking hellish pain for some reason. It hurt when they cut, when the tube went in, and especially when they applied the irritant. For those who don't know, a pleurodesis is to fix a collapsed lung (when the lung pops and gets a hole/holes in it). They apply an irritant to make the lung scar and fuse to the chest wall so the lung can't get more holes. Anyway, it hurt like fuck just to breathe, and so I could only take super tiny breaths so it felt like I was suffocating and I was mashing on the button that gives out fentanyl but there was a timer on it, and it seemed like the dose it administered was too small to do anything.

That sucked super hard.

Also, I was told that after my first pleurodesis that the chance of having another collapsed lung would be 5%. Had it happen 3 more times :<

Oh when I was in basic training, day 0 after processing when the drill sergeants introduce themselves and started smoking the company, many of the girls were crying just for being yelled at for the first time.

Never saw any of the males cry though. I accidentally stepped on my drill sergeants foot when doing an about face once that day,
and all of them got in my face Were threatening me talking shit. Never cried.

Maybe theres a difference between males and females that I didnt previously mention. Like females are used to crying cause we teach them they are able to cry, and we teach men to man up.

I honestly can't remember. Probably when I fucked up my knee gardening, so that would be back in 2003.

Before anyone asks, I had to go turn on the hose and there was a wheelchair ramp blocking the way. Instead of going around it, I decided to be like Kane from WWE and try to step over the railing like he did the rope. Let's just I was just a little to short for that and my knee bent sideways once I stretched as far out as I could and had all my weight on an already hyper-extended knee.

Cant remember came real close about Idk 5 years ago when i dropped something heavy on my foot and it caused bleeding under the toe nail. So glad I had a manual powered drill. Just drilled through the toe nail to let the blood come out and it relieved the pressure instantly and the pain dropped by like 90%.

I lost 2 thumbnails because of internal bleeding like that lol. Once I slammed my thumb in the sliding door of a hotel, and the other time was in the sliding door of my dad's van. Fucking sliding doors.

But yeah, the blood builds up so much that you need to get it out. I went to the doctor and he got a lighter and heated up a paper clip and poked a tiny hole with one of the ends lol. It went through the nail like a hot knife through butter, and a crapton of blood came out. And as mentioned, the pain instantly subsided a lot.

That's the trick to saving the nail. You just go though the nail nice and slow and let it bleed out.

I smashed a toe about a year ago and only had some light bleeding, so I let it go. It was black for nearly a year and as it grew out the nail became ruffled and is still a little rumply today
