I don't think I've ever cried in pain. Not even trying to be a hardass or anything, I definitely whimper like a sad puppy, but I've never cried from physical pain. I guess I probably did as a toddler.

About 10 years ago, I blew out both my knees while cliff jumping and then had to climb a mountain to get back to my car. It wasn't until we drove home the following day that the pain really started to set in. I had my friend drive my car while I sat in the back and cried from the pain.

I don't know.

I think I'm overly used to physical/emotional pain. I think there are pains I feel now that would've made me cry as a child, but don't now.

I kinda think kids cry from pain because they expect to not feel pain and that if they are in pain the world (their parents) will take care of them. But as you get older you learn that nobody cares if you are suffering so crying stops having as much of a purpose.

I've writhed in agony from physical pain fairly recently though.

Not since I was a little kid.

I've cried for emotional reasons but physical pain doesn't make me cry.

Wow that sounds rough. Hmm. Maybe I oversimplified in the claim I made in my post.

When I was probably in the 7th or 8th grade, I thin 7th, I got my hand jammed in a car door. I got out of the car through the window and my sister closed a door that my hand got caught in because I was using it to lift myself out of the car/window/whatever.

I was pretty young and I cried like a baby.

Damn that sounds incredibly painful. One of my friends fell off a cliff once and he couldn't walk properly for about 6 months.

I wish it had been an accident, that would have made me infinitely less stupid. I intentionally jumped off a cliff that was close to 110 ft high in to an old mine shaft that had filled with water. The girl that jumped after me was perfectly fine though.

I fell over in my house and got a splinter the size of my finger stuck in my hand, it wasn't like a spike or anything it was like your normal splinter that goes in kinda sideways.
I cried for a minute and then pulled it out, luckily it wasn't very deep. I now have a scar there. That happened 2 weeks ago.

I know someone who has a splinter in their foot and can't get it out since the skin has grown over it. They've had it in their foot for 6 years now, I think.

I fell off a roof about 3 years ago and landed on the grass. The weird thing was, it wasnt like "waaa this hurts" crying. It was more like the tears were knocked out of my head, because they watered uncontrollably and I just kept coughing.

I don't get migraines normally, but a few years ago, I got this really horrible one. It felt like my head was getting squeezed by a vice, it was this throbbing, stabbing pain and it even made me feel sick to my stomach and every little noise made it worse. I cried a little bit. It is hot here during the summer, but that year temps had soared to 104. It was beyond miserable.

When I was a child at home on summer vacation, I mopped the tiled kitchen floor. Later, I ran into the kitchen to get a drink, unaware that the floor was soaking wet and slippery. My feet flew out from under me and my head cracked against the tile.

I was probably somewhere around 11 or 12. I have a summer birthday.

I haven't cried over pain since I was a kid. I've had my share of painful things, kidney stone, infected tooth, biliary colic, that have hurt like nothing else but I wasn't crying. I cry over emotional things easily, but not physical ones.

I had no idea what this was until it happened to me. "Pinched nerve" in the neck. I was in tremendous pain for about 2 months. Had to sleep on a recliner rather than a bed. It fixed itself on it's own but holy shit. This was last year. Part of it was that I was just sick of it after weeks of being in pain and was worried that it just wasn't going to get better.
