TLDR: Yelp is replacing the takeout phone number for restaurants with their own number that routes to the restaurant and charges them an 15% - 20% referral fee. Yelp actually hurts most local restaurants more than it helps solely because their algorithm favors businesses that pay a premium, and another premium on top of that premium.
